King Prithivi Deserves recognition to his contribution

In the past, Poush 27 was celebrated as the National Unity Day in Nepal , But in view of the past revolution, people have forgotten the importance and contribution of King Prithivi Narayan Shah.

Nepal to be a sovereign country came through a great process of unification and diplomacy where the role and leadership of King Prithivi cannot be forgotten. It was his vision and leadership that aspired the unification and brought this scattered nation into one nation Nepal. His contribution cannot be forgotten where he holds the pride and passion of a true leader.

Today in the modern Nepal the political leaders have adapted the  negative aspect and have created a wrong system where corruption favoritism, nepotism etc are rising.

On one hand people have been suffering and on the other political leaders are manipulating the situation to further create a situation of chaos and instability where they can politicize the situation.

The leaders have forgotten those value of  nationalism and are more motivated to do selfish party politics.

Their main agenda is divide and rule, to prove this logic one can clearly see how they have created differences among the public in the name of religion and rights. They are targeting the vulnerable groups in giving them boost to their aggravation in suppressing their true right and empowering the wrong people to power.  

The current need of time is
1. Right to Education
2. Right to Food
3. Right to Health
4. Right to Human Rights
5. Rights to Security

If you look at current practice then you will see how uneducated people are being empowered in the name of  politics. A knife is a powerful tool which can be used in and against as per the conscience.

Its high time we realize where our society and political culture is going.

Bad political culture and criminalization in nepal's Politics

We all have seen and heard this so many times and still every time it happens, we just have one answer  this is it.  Criminalization in politics is not new and it has been well addressed and adjusted, but one thing that surprise me is how  political leaders defend their criminal counter part in terms of justice.
They are subjected to public interest and development but when it comes to their own self interest, I believe this is what that drives them to think more about themselves and their party than the nation. Nation first or for the nation is a lost concept that make no stance, it's the party mentality that drives them and for this they cross any limits.  

They say they are servants of public and at times they lead the public with the help of same groups of people who trouble and extort the public. what an IRONY!

I mean to say these criminals are offenders of  law and they are nuisance to our society their rights are not our primary concern but in-fact a secondary one as they are threat to other normal people  and rule of law. So defending such criminals in terms of any stage or on any terms is a question of not justice but un-justice to the normal public upon whom you have be accountable to.

The recent killing of the famous criminal Chari aka Dinesh Adhikari  was indeed a situation of sad truth but for a most wanted criminal who dies in a  cross firing with the police stands no option of investigation or objective. God he was  a hard core criminal who was subjected to cases of extortion, wildlife killing and many more other cases which were unjustifiable by our law and still one of the leading politician is trying to search justice is matter of lack of shame. 

Mr. Politician one thing you have to understand is public apathy is not a question of what you show and say its a question of credibility and accountability. You cannot be defending something unsocial and question public about accepting it with in the periphery of society. Something that is beyond rule of law is beyond in any terms of acceptance.


  This shows the infiltration of criminalization in Nepal's politics.

No political culture in Nepal

Previously, during the king's regime when the roads would be blocked people protested in many ways. Now after the declaration of federalism when the same politicians who opposed the kings way of making public suffer are applying the same techniques of making the people wait hours in the sun in the name of security, the public are in a dilemma. The normal public is pissed with the political attitude of ignorance and carelessness.
  
It's beyond public apathy to make the public suffer in the sun in the name of security,  politicians who have no ethics and Morales 

We had only one King and now due to so called pro-democratic movement we have 100s of kings. They block the roads and public service any time and any where.......

FNJ is back with its political swing for its election

Once again the social media are in full swing use with the promotional advertisements of election for the candidacy of the executive committee of the Federation of Nepalese Journalist (FNJ). Different social networking sites are bombarded with election materials and information about the affiliation of political parties for the individual candidacy promotional purpose.

The FNJ is the mother organization  of all the journalists all over Nepal but due to its political influences and bad reputation, the FNJ has been labeled a political influenced organization.
 
Time and again the election of FNJ and its candidates have been questioned with the  association of various political organizations, but with the growing trade unions and political parties playing a major role in the economy, Nepal journalism has been controversially influenced at its core level.

So labelling Nepal's Journalism accuracy on the basis of political influence, Nepal has no standing grounds.

On one hand the direct involvement of the memebrs of FNJ in political organization directly questions the relevancy of the check and counter mechanism in and against the political organization where as on the other, how can a political influenced organization be a federation of all journalists that has no morale and ethics.

Failed Leaders and their vision: subash nembang an example

Now I know why Nepal is listed in the group of least developed country. It is very ironical and very clear that we lack leadership and proper vision but how dumb can we be that we would nominate the same failed sorry ash who could not deliver his  goals during the last constituent Assembly and now again he is back in the same position.

Yes, I am talking about Mr Subash Nembang who was elected as the new  house of speaker  unanimously. how wise is it to give him such an important role that he could not deal with during his last tenure. In-fact I could not stop myself from laughing when I heard that Mr  Nemabang was the only candidate for the post. how courageous for him to stand again without the guilt that he didn't deliver last time so he was up for the nomination this time as well. I think this is the example of the worst political culture that we have and that is instigating Nepal's politics. I think with such lack of consen and guilt such people are no less than  burden for their position and responsibilities.
Nembang was highly criticized for not being able to perform during the last CA when he failed to call the last meeting prior the Baburam led government dissolved the CA.

Nepal's Politics desperately needs new face and new vision the orthodox are certainly containing the energy and drive of the nation towards poverty and corruption.

we need leaders who can take stand and make difference not leaders who can make politics more happening by having their own preferences and choices

Koirala a failed leader

With the appointment of Sushil Koirala as the 37th Prime Minister of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the country seems to be back in track of  new constitution making process. Famously idealized for his youth image and youth leadership, this 75 years old man depicts the real situation of Nepal's politics and its currently situation of orthodox mentality.

The November 19, 2013 election  was a breaking point for Nepal's political deadlock situation but still due to lack of political understanding and political culture, the country failed to get any result in regard to its political status and other essential decision. The elected CA members lacked to formed a proper leadership and visions in regards to management and operation for the last 3 months. Now after 3 months there seems to be some solution coming upfront but with lack of political manipulation and politics games running around for power and chair, it is still hard to expect  that there will be a secured government that will facilitate the CA to promulgate a new constitution.    
The Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist Leninist) which supported koirala to win the position of PM at CA has already expressed its dissatisfaction with Koirala reasoning it of failing to address the agreement of home minister portfolio to its party. Similarly, the political understanding seems to be lacking  political support in context of power sharing and portfolio management, which is expressed openly by leaders of the political parties at different media.

Koirala is the sixth head of government since the country became a republic in 2008, following a peace deal with Maoist rebels in 2006.

The Nepali Congress president, scored  405 of 553 votes of MPs', moving ahead securing his position as the next Prime minister of Nepal. During the November 19, 2013 election he was elected from Banke and Chitwan constituencies for the Constituent Assembly (CA).

I think sushil koirala is just an example of weak political culture of nepal that highlights the hypocrisy and orthodox mentality that rules Nepal politics.  It is hard to say if the country will get a new constitution within next five years but I can surely say it will get more ministers and sub ministers to manage different portfolios.

Election in Nepal, a Remedy or an issue

Election in Nepal has been opted as a  solution for the overall political chaos where there could have been better solution. From the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly on May 28 2012, Nepal has been facing political crisis in various forms of its operation, management and leadership.  Nepal's political scenario has never faced such a situation of leadership and diplomacy that encounters no barriers. The Baburam led government dissolved the Constituent Assembly (CA) due to its failure in drafting a new constitution, the CA was dissolved  after its original and extended total tenure of 4 years which according to morale values was acceptable but without any solution and putting the nation in such a transitional phase is was un-acceptable.  With political tussle and power play games the political parties of Nepal could not come to a conscious ideology.

Apart from that due to lack of political culture the nation faced a situation of uncertainty and deadlock which grounded the overall Nation's position.

Still then the political parties were seen at their turf where no fixed version regarding the election could be made.  There was no policy for diplomacy where the 4 party alliance declared the need and founded the controversial interim government led by chief justice Khil Raj Regmi  to end the political deadlock. The Khil Raj Regmi Government which was formed  with allegation and controversies where the  Baidhaya led Maiost party (Nepal Communist Party) expressed their dissatisfaction.  Khil Raj Regmi government has been doing its best to conduct the election.  The Nepalese Constituent Assembly election dates were postponed several times where the political parties exhibited their self interest of  weak governance and power politics.

The four party alliance have forwarded the current election option as a final remedy for the current political crisis situation but on the other side with such volatile situation things aren't looking easy.

Why shouldn't the Nepali Jantas Vote ? 
1. The election preparation is not enough, the Id's are not ready,
2. One of the candidate who was shot, died ,
3. The Baidhaya group is still saying they will retaliate with force where around 33 parties are in support
4. The political parties have come up with candidacy but they are not prepared for election
5. More than 80 % of the candidates who were responsible for dissolving the previous Constituent Assembly are up for Candidacy

Why are we having election? 
1. Four Party wants this election
2. Indian government is in support of election

Nepal lack leaders with proper vision

Recently one of the youth leader of Nepali Congress Gagan Thapa was caught on TV saying, "Politics should not be infiltrated in school level and teachers should not be given the right to be a political member."

I was surprised to hear this from a young leader, first thing politics is a hot issue in Nepal, knowingly and unknowingly we all have our preferences but what I fail to understand is how can a leader have such a limited vision.

Today Nepal’s education system suffers the consequences of political infiltration and manipulation. The education system is ruled by union leaders of different political parties where they control the future of thousands of students. In the past we have seen and experienced political youth leaders cancelling national level examinations, holding bandha(strike program) on the day of examination risking the future of millions of students .

Apart from that doing gundagardi(hooliganism) and felony in the name of college politics is yet another disadvantage. Reality is our political culture has deep rooted in student’s politics in the name of numbers where political parties need student workers to make their program success. 

 Though student politics dates back to the revolt of Rana regime in view of patriotism but today it has transcended into a factory of making "Gundas" who have no vision but only political agendas and manifestos.

Gundas politics in Nepal has taken over so much that each political party has been associated with criminals.

My question to him is how can a leader who is supposed to lead a country or influence the country's policy have limited mentality. I think politics should be PROHIBITED from education system. Politics and political leaders should not be allowed to enter the premises of any school or college. It is an individual choice and we are in democracy , a lawful citizen of Nepal has every right to follow or to be labeled with any political party but infiltrating the education system risking the future is my OBJECTION. 

We considered our schools and colleges as temples where most of the students come to learn but they are brain washed and are fueled in the dirty game of manipulation and power play. A country invested a lot of money for quality education and in such pristine institution politics makes students irresponsible, corrupt and gives them the freedom to do anything. This in long run take the form of a leader who is corrupt and who has only one vision to promote bad politics.

 Our political culture is very intimidated by ethics and morale but when it comes to practice it has no implication. We have leaders who are hollow in practice of their image and agendas.

Just by being good in dialogue and blaming their own political leaders doesn't makes you a hero, you have to first adapt the mentality of "NATION FIRST" ideology in retrospect of   what can be done

Against Corruption

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority(CIAA) have filed charge sheets at the Special Court, demanding 12-year jail sentence for top officials of Nepal Electricity Authority, including Managing Director Rameshwar Yadav, in the Rs 411 million transformer purchase deal. Indeed is a ground breaking action in the history to fight against Corruption.With such concrete action at a transitional time like this  CIAA needs to be applauded for the action.

The officials have been charged with amassing property worth Rs 318 million in the purchase deal deal of transformers. The country lies at the stake of resources and corrupt officials like these empty the government finances which degrades the system. Corruption itself is not a disease but the system and people inside it make it  vulnerable where it makes and exercises its network. Corruption spreads like a disease engulfing morale and ethic leaving a person with no values. Under no circumstance or condition a corrupt leader or a official can make the right judgement, his aspiration will be an inspired by a version that motives him/her to make the wrong decision.

This is certainly a learning lesson for all the government officials to at least think about it before doing any corruption.
