5 corers to the member of parliament can make our politicians accountable

I think the idea of giving 5 corers to the Member of Parliaments(MPs) directly for assisting various regional public and social work is a great initiative. It would be a direct investment from the state to the MPs to public. As right now due to lack of proper mechanism most of the development work budget gets freezed or corrupted due to lengthy procedural administrative work and most of the times when the real work needs to be done things don't work according to plan. Reality is most of the times, the budget gets freezed at the end of the fiscal year in absence of proper mechanism and the administration in view of finishing the budget misuses the funds in unnecessary projects. This has been happening from the past few decades and it has been practiced all along. I feel sad that the money that could have been used for proper projects gets cramped over some unnecessary unwanted project that was not even in view of consideration and the money gets wasted in view of getting freezed. The habit of working late or working without a efficient strategy is what has lacked the Nepal Government's Administration

What's the use?

Like said, previously the money channeled through many hands so there was more chances of corruption but since the money would directly be given to the MPs hope they would be more careful and accountable as their name and reputation is involved.

Apart from that corruption cannot be stopped, it can only be controlled and I think this is the best way to make our politician more accountable but there should be effective monitoring mechanism from the public and the state.......

I think its better for the MPs aleast to try to make it use when we have already given everything, why not this

Political Culture of Nepal

What an irony, the political leaders of Nepal who proved to be incapable of bringing out the constitution in past are again in the bid to participate in the same league. With bad reputation and negligible attitude of not being responsible this is one of the most amazing thing that after wasting so much of money (15 Billion approximate) and resources, they still are willing to stand up for the election. It is pity that Nepal's political leaders seriously lack a political culture.

Constituent Assembly was established without preparation and in lack of proper political culture Nepal’s political leaders pushed it towards the edge of uncertainty and chaos.

Now getting back to the topic, what will be the difference, if the same people participate? At least they should have the courage to forward new names for the new constituent assembly.
But we all know this is not going to happen because power and hierarchy rules Nepal’s politics. If there is an opportunity probably the same leaders will be nominated and there will be no difference.

In this election if there is a possibility there is a possibility for the King supporter to win as till date we have seen the revolutionary force, the so call democratic forces and other agitating power but sadly none of them could perform. They all limited themselves to power politics, corruption, manipulation and other aspect of externalities which degraded the political presence and status.

Federalism was adopted by forces and still today people are in confusion of the definition and what they want for themselves and the country at large. In this confusion people has liberated themselves of any pressure and annotation. This year only the Nepal government 2,96,01,14,00,000.00 this will probably amaze you but this is true, we all pay taxes that exceeds any other country in the world and still we have nothing. This is the currently political status of country that is trying to emerge its way out…………..

Isn't it a perfect example of Bad political culture ..................

Being listed as Shahid has no meaning

This guy is some "SHAHID" whose stamp has been been published. Today I noticed him on my application form, I was surprised to see him as a National Martyr. Since the the value of the stamp was Npr 10, I thought he must be someone special but to ground reality I fail to recognize him in anyway. I hardly have seen him and being a journalist and a citizen of Nepal and not to recognize someone who did something for the country was a shame for me. But on contrary I don't know if he is GENUINE or not but he does not look familiar. Our Nepal government announces Martyrs every now and then. Announcing SHAHID is a political issue where anyone who dies and related to politics or any other social standing will be announced as a SHAHID. The question and value of a true SHAHID is lost and in such scenario the name and image of SHAHID has been redefined to the flexibility and feasibility of politics.

The true spirit and fire of doing something for the country has been shadowed, SHAHID has just been a word where you can see one in every locality with no substance and lack of meaning................

Our society is practicing the image of power and corrupted politics where due to lack of political culture there is no substance in anything. Even to be listed as SHAHID no meaning as you never know where your name will be listed with a murderer or corrupted person.
